MY FIRST CRUISE
I can’t believe it’s been almost seven years since my first cruise. So, we were boarding the Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas for the very time. We didn’t know anything about cruises, but like every person on Facebook, we felt like experts in the subject. We did everything people nowadays recommend not to do; we were the perfect example of a rookie cruiser. I choose to have fun all the time. Therefore, all my blogs will be about some funny anecdotes that happened to us while on a trip. Stay tuned!
So let me begin with, we were overdressed for the occasion; we were about to cruise not to go to Sunday church (check the picture), nowadays, I see people like us all the time, but I don’t have the heart to joke about it. Oh boy, if I tell you what we did wrong that day, you will probably laugh at me; however, I want to focus on the significant mistake of that day. I take the blame on that one; my wife even tried to tell me, but as I said, I was a cruise veteran even though it was my first cruise.
We boarded early because we wanted to take advantage of all the amenities on the ship, but where were they? I don’t know because we didn’t know for real. As seasoned cruises like we were, we had empty stomachs because we drove six hours that day to make it to the cruise. We were finally onboard; the Majesty of the seas was majestic, and my stomach was still empty at that point. Of course, we were profiling people, and everyone looked rich at that point; we saw people drinking cocktails and wearing fancy hats and nice clothes while doing stuff that only people on TV shows do. Yeah, I know we all do that while on vacation, but it didn’t click at that moment.
Kids were running around with ice cream, some were eating pizza, and some had burgers, so I said, let’s get some food, lucky me, the first place I found was a specialty restaurant, and the prices were published on the menu; my head automatically compared them to Walmart prices an instantly, I wasn’t hungry no more. I decided not to ask anyone and stayed hungry until dinner. It was a long day just because I didn’t ask around. I learned my lesson, and I packed some sandwiches for my next cruise, just kidding, I researched a lot for the next one, but there were some mistakes anyway.
So, what’s your first trip story?

I booked my families first cruise thru @Leslimtravelandtours and I promise you he didn’t disappoint and was very helpful and made booking a breeze! Our family sailed with @Carnival cruise lines and everything was absolutely amazing! He found things and accommodations for my daughter that never knew existed! He recommended places to visit, shows to watch, foods to eat, and how to navigate the ship! I definitely recommend booking thru this company because he listens and goes beyond to make sure that the experience is grand! I’ve already booked two more cruises thru him because of what he does for his clients! Thank you Leslimtravelandtours for all that you have done for my family while booking our vacations!
